Shut your face Theresa. Just get out.

I'll do it.

Indeed. No one offers an answer to an impossible question and anyone else faces exactly the same issue.

In fact, May has invited a vote of no confidence under the FTPA2011. General Election if it loses.

You, me and Basil Brush. This is the moment the Woodland Animals Lads alliance was made for.

Unlikely to lose though.

If she goes, we would end up with an extreme Brexiteer, probably Boris or Davis.

The worst of it is her Plan B is to see about getting some more assurances from the EU on Plan A and trying to drive it through as the only option. Utter shambles.

Corbyn is interested only in a GE and trying to get power. Id be amazed if we get anymore clarity over what he would actually propose doing...

This. Brexit visions differ by person, it is impossible to keep everyone happy. If May goes whoever comes in MIGHT get a slightly different deal but I can guarantee someone else wouldn’t be happy.

That's not what she's just said. Plans to consult with other parties to see what's acceptable (two years too late).

Perhaps she's changing tack, she told cabinet earlier she was persevering with her deal no matter what. As you say though, 2 years too late.

Legally, could she perservere with it, given that Parliament have overwhelmingly rejected it?

I dont see that will help, or ever would have done.

The Irish border is an insoluble issue as it stands.

Notably, noone appreicated that being the fundamental stumbling block when the referendum was held. This idea that a new referendum is damaging to democracy is nonsense, because it was plainly a referendum held with vastly less effective information than is now available.

The legal status of the meaningful vote is somewhat contentious I believe.
