"80% of voters voted for parties that respect the decision to leave" 22:07 - Jan 16 with 1256 viewsNthsuffolkblue

Of course, the fact that 90% of constituencies had any vote for the parties that opposed it as a wasted vote isn't relevant to that statistic!

If it is such a democratic decision why not put your deal and remain back to the electorate and really see what the people do want?

I hate this argument, it's every bit as weak as when remainers try to claim that Brexit has no mandate because only 37% of the electorate voted for it.

It may hold some weight if you remove all context and ignore the entire political history of the UK with the obviously bipartisan system we now have.

There have already been two democratic votes for Brexit, how many more do you want?
You just want to keep voting until you get the vote you want, very democratic indeed.

Two? The first one was where people voted yes to remaining a member of the common market? If the second one was democratic why isn't a third one democratic?

Totally different, if it was a common market we would agree to it, it has never been that. We voted to leave the undemocratic EU superstate, not once but twice.

Think he meas once by referendum and once by an overwhelming vote in Parliament, even more overwhelming than last nights vote.

Ah, I see thanks.

Well if a vote in Parliament would have been taken as representative in the first place, we need never have had the bloody Referendum and could have escaped this clusterf*ck.

Thesauruses (Thesauri?) should have a new synonym for the word "chaos'"- "Brexit-like"!
