Very much mixed. The more rational amongst them recognise it was always going to take time, the squad has major holes and they didn’t really have the funds to fill them. Given the expectation would have been 6th, being 5th currently and within touching distance of the Champions League places represents a decent effort so far, even if it seems likely they’ll ultimately slip back

Yeah, that was a bit OTT!
I had spirit in mind rather than individual quality. Mourinho seemed to be doing a latter day Mick in grinding out results but sucking the joy out of it. Anyway, they look like a team rejuvenated to me. One in the eye for everyone who laughed at the appointment. | |

I read an article in WSC after Jose's first season that said something like; who knew a 23 game unbeaten run could be so dull.
Whilst he has left behind a good squad he was moaning it wasn't good enough and he needed more money for signings.
The fact that a relative rookie from lower league football can take over and win 8 straight games, with disciplined tactics whilst still allowing swashbuckling forward play just goes to show that Jose has lost it. He wanted to strangle the life out of the opposition, whereas rookie ole wants them to dominate with flair, exhuberance and goals.
Ole the interim seems to be doing a good job. With the press focusing on the football rather than some sullen tw@t whinging in press conferences. [Post edited 26 Jan 2019 9:35]

I dont think the problem was ever the manager, but more the owner. No evidence for saying this but I get the impression that money leaves arsenal rather than being put in. At least you lot get susbsidised.
