The momentum from something like that would be tremendous. Combined with a decent manager having a summer transfer window and a full preseason, plus the improvement in club and fan morale, should result in a serious bounce.
Especially as the reason we're struggling so badly this season (gutting the squad, the wrong signings, the Manager being out of his depth) are very unlikely to happen again. |  |

😀 and squander 750k on a league 1 defender who's not really worth anywhere near as much as that, negotiate a deal to take him on loan until his work permit gets sorted (not that it was an issue until he signed for us), agree to pay for him whatever happens and then......wait for it......loan him back to the club you overpaid for him in the first place.
