Very good.

I'd have added my personal bugbear: people banging on about players lacking passion when they lose. And generally the whole remote psychoanalysis where a person's deeper feelings and motives are divined from afar based on how they run and kick a ball.

Being a bit deep is ipso facto if you're talking about nuanced.

You only have to look at this forum back in August - May to see that 99% of supporters are absolute wrong about nearly everything as heart comes before head.

There is no way a third division manager, signing a load of third division players to replace your main goalscorers was ever going to be a success - but we were told it was young and exciting and to shut up - now those same people are claiming relegation as a positive and think we're going back up...

It's time to make the best of it.

You've managed to illustrate the main point of the article brilliantly; if only you had the self-awareness to realise that.

I wonder how many keyboard warriors would actually say what they would type to the individuals face-to-face?

I was always taught not to write anything down you wouldn't say to the person(s) directly (all long before social media of course), now it seems you can say almost anything you like and either put it down as 'bantz' or put a after it implying its a joke.

Nice article, thank you.
