We relegated them at home 12 years ago and they charged us in the away end, as if it was our fault they were crap. |

That was pretty obvious from the ST renewal letters a year ago when they said that if it was necessary for an away side to have an increased allocation then all ST holders in The Cobbold would have to be relocated.
An increased allocation for them from Norfolk was not on so Leeds was always very likely to be the one if there were any. |  | | |

Probably more chance of winning... He's played 23 games this season and hasn't won one.
On that note, what is the record run for an Ipswich player not winning? 23 has to be in with a shout, surely?

I was in Bournemouth that weekend for a friend’s 21st birthday party. The hotel we stayed in was owned by the Communications Workers Union and there were loads of Yorkshire posties staying there, presumably they got a good rate. We got talking to a couple of them at breakfast on the Sunday morning and he produced a few of the number boards they used to use to indicate who was being substituted. Apparently it was carnage on the pitch at the end of the game. |
I was in Bournemouth that weekend. They were a friggin nuisance from Friday lunch onwards. By late Friday night the word had got out and most bars were not letting them, and taxis were not picking up off the ranks rather choosing to slow down, check who they wee before picking them up.
I was in a flat on Holdenhurst Rd (ground to station) when they came past around 5.30, with some strange singing, then all sitting down. However those that didn't return Sat eve continued to be ar sholes, damaging stuff with the funniest being their behaviour towards taxis. Not being the brightest they still hadn't grasped that wearing a Leeds shirt is not the best way to be picked up, and I was later told of taxis simply slowing down as they walked in front then knocking them over.
We were over in Poole that night (5 mile away) where there were a few 'scuffles' on the quay. Not the best place to play up with the marine's camp a mile or so away and all manner of different squaddies out on the slash.
Any time I have seen them at games they appear to have this massive chip on their shoulder, angry that no ne else knows they are champions of Europe. I shan't be there for that game and I would suggest others think long and hard about whether it is worth the risk. They are scum and will behave like scum as they did at home to us previously. Hopefully many will be staying in Gt Yarmouth and hopefully that's where they will head back to after the game
If they end up missing the automatics or the title on the day then lord help anyone who is around PR after the game. | | | |
