Just a thought..... Maybe after a few weeks of preseason, Waghorn realised the car crash Hurst was creating and wanted out. It should also be pointed out that Waghorn was still contracted and Hurst could’ve turned round and said you’re not leaving. However, Hurst obviously sanctioned the move. Hurst obviously believed Jackson and Harrison could replace him and Garner. The rest is history
