Playing and managing have little in common. It's a long list of top players who failed at management. So your argument holds little water. Now, what lower level experience did Frank Lampard seek out in order to show that he deserved a coaching job in the top two flights of English Football?

The day is coming when a woman will be a gaffer of a top men's squad. And Emma Hayes may be a great person to do it. Someday. But as of today, she needs more experience as a head coach in the men's game. Were a L2, L1, or even Championship squad want to hire her, I would be all for it and be excited by it. But we're talking about a team (for now) in the Champions League and traditionally near or at the top of the Premier League, one of the top leagues on the planet. Chelsea needs an experienced hand in the men's game NOW. Emma may be the person for the future, but today, she doesn't have the experience Chelsea needs.
