Are any of you like me? In the winter I plough through red wine at home but as soon as we reach spring and summer I don't touch it. Over winter all drinks are replaced by red, wonderful stuff.

YES! Dark drinks in Winter, light in Summer.

I love a decent lager or cider on a Summer day but I can't imagine anything worse in Winter.

Red Wine, Port, Stout and DARK ales = YUM in winter. But, I'm really looking forward to a sunny day and a pint of cider. Bring on Spring.

For sure, nothing better than getting in the pub or at home next to the fire with a nice drop of red aftershock in the winter.

Would never have guessed from your posts that they were written by someone who was ploughing through red wine...

Interesting. I can drink red wine all year round. It’s partivpcukarly good abroad - when it’s hot - and it’s chilled!

Port on the other hand, I would only drink over the Winter.

I like to rotate my drinks too. Cider for breakfast, lager at lunch, real ales at dinner and spirits as a night cap.

Shane McGowan used to have a pint of Baileys for breakfast. Churchill a pint of port and a brace of cold snipe. I'm enjoying some of the porters at the moment.
