I bet Mr Clegg found those cushions, and sold them.

Didn't season ticket holders get one included at one time?

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Yep, I remember those days well. I started going to matches from the age of about 6, with my gran (RIP) and she had a season ticket in block I. I remember a few years later, we played Liverpool in the Cup and cushions got thrown onto the pitch at the end. Unfortunately there were a few Liverpool fans also in I block, who were making their presence known and my nan got hit in the head, when a Town fan in the lower section missed their target, when trying to hit a scouser with one of these cushions. From memory, they were quite heavy and would have caused a bit of damage if you received one full in the face. My poor nan was shocked for a bit, but it never put her off following the Town.

Edit: I think they could be rented for 2p per match.

My Grandad was escorted from Portman Road in the 1960's for throwing a cushion at the ref from the old West Stand.

I remember when Season Ticket holders used to get a free program. Think they started that in 1977.

I remember when we played Man U at home, must have been 76 or 77 and their fans had a reputation at the time. A few of them started to climb up to the upper tier in the Cobbold stand and the old Grannies were beating them down with their umbrellas.

Yes, they were red. You may be right that they were free for season ticket holders, but I am sure that there was a very professional 2p chalked up on the wall, next to the stairway, where they were all stacked.

I can remember them flying out of the stands at the end of one game as the ref ran off the pitch, did they have metal edges?
