Desert Island Discs 08:37 - Feb 22 with 629 viewsBlacknGoldnBlue

So if you went on Desert Island Discs what would be your choices?

For those unaware you automatically get The Complete Works of Shakespeare and The Bible (or another religious book). You then have to choose 8 pieces of music/songs and one luxury item, which must be inanimate and of no use in escaping the island or allowing communication from outside.

Lastly you have to choose the one piece of music you'd save if the others were being destroyed.

Lauren Laverne would have to sit on my knee for the whole interview to start with.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

Before the title music - 'One of these things first' Nick Drake

'Gloria' Patti Smith (also one of Tracey Thorn's eight, so...)
'Love not Money' Everything But The Girl
opening of Sibelius's Symphony No.1
'My Favourite Things' John Coltrane
'Wish You Were Here' Alpha Blondy
'Summer' Elephant Sessions
'At The Edge' Stiff Little Fingers

For the book I would argue like crazy that The Complete Works of Shakespeare was an outmoded and upper class way of representing English Literature, why not Hardy or Dickens? If I won that then my chosen book would be The Complete Works of Shakespeare.

My luxury would be a powerful but portable astronomical telescope powered by solar energy and batteries.

I will probably come back in an hour and edit all these choices.

Poll: How will we get fourteen points from the last five games ?
