Imagine an international manager had told of an ITFC players injury 21:39 - Feb 27 with 7722 viewstextbackup

While MM was the manager, he’d have been really chuffed that weekend plans were out there for all to see (opposition manager not knowing who was fit etc)

And I 100% know the posters that will disagree on this, but would have backed MM if roles were reversed...

We’ll be good again... one day

and that's absolutely fine. however, you reckon MM would have felt the same if roles were reversed?
i'll add, I don't really care, just making a point that he's done something he wouldn't have been happy about

You post about it a lot for someone that doesn't care

the manager of an international team that don't play for 4 weeks cared enough to bring it up, about a player that's not actually ever played for that country.

He didn't 'bring it up'.

He was asked.

And disagreeing with you doesn't make people a 'fan boy'.

Get over it.

Does MM need a place in Dublin? Seems to have enough rent-free space in some posters' heads.

Of course he is kept up at night by thinking of them also. Naturally.

If you did a Rorscharch test with this board many would see MM.

Can't say I've really thought about him since leaving. Have you?

My answer would of course be 'mother'. Oh god, mother, why?

I saw some of that '100 vaginas' last week.

So unfortunately a Rorschach test would reflect any imprints left over from that for some time yet.

But yes, the continued obsession cannot be healthy.

The McCarthy one that is.

Either.

But he wasn't asked whether Keane was injured or not? He was just asked about Keane's eligibility. He could have just said "we'll wait and see whether he can be involved for the next round of international games".

To be fair, MM really only - and justifiably - got upset by stupid Ipswich fans.

Keane going down clutching the back of his leg and unable to even atttenpt to carry on was a bit of a giveaway that his chances of making the weekend’s game were more than a bit slim.

Yes, that might have been a slight clue to the fact that Keane could be a doubt for this week, and next week and.....

How on earth is it irrelevant? He's divulged information about an ITFC player that the club clearly wanted to keep under wraps until the weekend.

It may be uninteresting to you, but I think to say it's wrong to say it's irrelevant leading up to our most important game of the season thus far.

I've been a big supporter of Mick in the past, but this is totally out of order.

He might argue that he didn't know we hadn't confirmed anything. But he should have made sure before spouting off. he could easily have said, "I've seen him play and he looks good, but he picked up and an injury on Saturday and we don't know yet how serious it is."

That said, given that Keane is still with us and hasn't been in front of Ireland's medical staff yet, it will be purely guesswork.

Unless... maybe he's a patsy. We've told Mick that he is out for six weeks, so he leaks the information, he's actually fine and being prepared to play on Saturday... just to mislead Reading...

You think reading would have no way of finding out if Keane was injured if it was really that important to them? Do you think they will redo their whole game plan because Keane has swapped for Quaner?

It is just the latest numbskull flounce and a bit sad

I can't get excited about it. He was asked a question. He answered it. To my mind, that's all there is to say about that.

He wasn't asked about Will Keane's injury. He was asked about the progress of Will Keane's international status. He chose to bring up the injury. Very petty action from a very petty man

Wouldn't an injury have some sort of effect on a player's international career?

Really don't see what all the fuss is about tbh.
