Is it just me, or is it not actually that great?

Having watched 2 episodes now I've only genuinely laughed a couple of times.

I was born underwater, I dried out in the sun. I started humping volcanoes baby, when I was too young.

It hasn't been good. Mid Morning Matters was also quite poor. I'm Alan Partridge was the best by a mile for me.

Nothing will live up to Series 1 of I'm Alan partridge.

I watched the 1st on iplayer through the night last night cos I couldn't sleep, but didn't make it more than half way.

At least I slept then I suppose.

It was better than the shopping channels to be fair, but some things are best alone and I'm thinking this may be one of those things.

Although I was interested to find out there actually was a Battle Of North Walsham during the Peasants' Revolt.

You are very easily amused - there is nothing remotely funny about it and no way does it compare with the original series

Shamefully haven't watched yet. But the brothers Gibbons' writing seems to miss the Iannucci mark, which is fair enough, they're only human.

Same as the film, not really sure I want to after the ambivalent reviews? Then again if I didn't like being disappointed I wouldn't watch us every week.

I for one would like to hear more about your research into humour being completely objective, professor

You would be.

There was a lady on The Chase earlier from Blo Norton.

She wasn't very good.

Not revolting though.

I think it's ok - not brilliant though.

I'm preferring Warren!

I was in a pub today and Kate Bush came on the sounds system.

There then ensued a 5 minute exchange of women's bushes 'jokes' between a couple of the locals. Hilarious.

I can say I would have rather watched Patridge than sit through that.

Maybe I'm being unrealistic in my expectations, but compare it to the original radio shows, KMKY, I'm Alan Partridge and I think it falls a long way short of that standard.

They now seem to be forcing the character too much. What started out as semi-subtle on On the Hour is now a caricature. And oh yeah, Iannucci, have I mentioned Iannucci yet?

I hadn't heard of that, but just spotted it looking through the TV guide.

"Warren's business is not going well - he is losing pupils to a rival driving school, Daz's Drivers, and his online rating is through the floor. He sets out to turn the tide by canvassing for more pupils in the local area, but things go awry when he discovers a dead cat in the road, gets accused of running it over, is mistaken for a Tory counsellor, publicly shamed for being a cat killer, and finally ends up on the front page of the local newspaper. All the while, Daz's business is booming."

I can see how being mistaken for a Tory could be upsetting.

No one wants that.

I agree. I enjoy it, laugh a bit, but am also conservative with my praise. Certainly wouldn't call it 'premium partridge' like some people are.

Hasn't been the same since I'm Alan Partridge.

Nowhere near as funny as previous series. Problem is lack of other funny characters, 'laughing man', Michael and his unintelligible Geordie accent, Dave Clifton etc...
Its quite poor from my point of view

Watched the first episode of 'Warren' and found it depressing rather than funny.

I think being stuck in the studio with the same few characters limits the possibilities.
