Anyone use an e-reader for reading academic articles? 12:44 - Mar 7 with 606 viewsgordon

I want to store (or ideally sync with e.g. a Mendeley account) pdfs on a e-reader - anyone do this currently?
would be nice if there was an effective means of making notes as well.

Screen width is one of the limiting factors I think - Onyx Boox look like they might have some that would do the job?

I've read PDFs on Kindle - you can convert for screen size ( email them to your kindle account with the word convert in the subject line). Or you can download the send-to-kindle app, which will do it for you as well

I use a Kindle for PDFs, legislation documents and textbooks- that with one of those rocket books has supremely cut down on A LOT of gubbins I used to have to tote about and ultimately whack someone with.

Have you seen the hugely expensive Remarkable?
Has to be the Holy Grail of E-Readers for students. Too pricey for me at the moment, but a paperwhite style E-Reader with the ability to hand write notes and convert to text may be just what you are after...

Amazon Reviews show that it is a love it or hate it product, but one review talks about buying from Amazon and being able to return it for a full refund.

The issue is normally that articles are double column so on a standard kindle the screens too small.

Will have a look at the remarkable too.

Thanks for tips.
