Breaking a two year promise to the electorate, what a mess.

Half the country will forgive and forget. We will just have to round up the other half.

Think he is making reference to the manifesto of the two major parties.

Was always on the cards since there are at least 150 MPs who represent constituencies that voted leave but they, the MPs, are pro-remain.

If the May dealgets a third vote the chances of it going through have improved.

There are going to be lots of sitting MPs being deselected.

It's interesting that she can justify to herself a third vote on a deal that has been comprehensively rejected twice whilst simultaneously maintaining that a second vote on leaving the EU would be a betrayal of democracy. She's also fundamentally doing what most Brexiteers have accused the EU of doing in voting and voting again until it gets the result it wants. I agree though her deal passing eventually seems likely, the ERG and DUP will finally fall into line now they can see a genuine threat to Brexit happening at all.

Most promises to the electorate get a much longer run out before they’re broken to be fair.

No, not at the moment

Was always going to end like this. We were sold something that couldn't be delivered by men who didn't think they'd win so had no plan for if they did. When they won, they mostly fled the scene leaving Parliament to conjure up the unicorns for them.

You seem to want to ignore the fact that both Labour and Conservative manifesto included an undertaking to respect the outcome of the referendum.

What's that got to do with anything? This is bigger than being a party political issue, or at least it should be.

How many times do you need told! Leave did not need a plan they were a group campaigning to leave the EU. It was Cameron who should have had a plan either way but he didn’t dream he would have to.

So, in other words, the only way to vote against the madness was to cast a vote for an unelectable party instead.

How many manifesto "promises" are ever kept?

He’s right - having offered a referendum the government should have had a plan for both outcomes

Of course - it would have been helpful if key players in the Leave campaign did too, and were able to then help deliver it, but ultimately the responsibility laid with the government

Not sure you need the "UK" part in there. Take a look at your adopted home for instance. It's rubbish most places at the moment.
