I think it’s a reasonable assumption that the person who writes a manifesto on why he has killed 50 Muslims, sets up a Twitter account to post the manifesto along with pictures of his weapons inscribed with more nonsense and live streams the entire massacre is likely to have wanted people to watch it.
I haven’t visited the news sites. I’ve just seen people post screenshots of the home pages with the video surrounded by adverts, making the point that they shouldn’t be posting the video and surrounding it by adverts.

I think in this case we can probably determine they did want it to be watched, given they announced it was going to happen beforehand on an imageboard with a livestream for people to view.
And then even played for their audience whilst carrying it out. |
