In my yoof, my friends and I were hauled up in front of a magistrate for drunken behaviour. We might have been p*ssed at the time but we were quite sure of the sequence of events. However, PC Plod knew the madge would just slap our wrists so he told a load of porkies to make it look like we were on a par with the Kray twins. The madge believed the plod.
They will always believe the Police no matter what and it doesn't matter whether Robinson was innocent or not - the police said he was trouble so that was that.
With all his run-ins with the law I'd have thought he would know that by now. |  |

Nor have I sought revenge of any sort if asked to leave a pub.
