Poor Paul Merson, had no idea he was still going through it. As they all said, so many ex-pros would benefit hugely from being involved in similar events in future, and I'm sure there'd be quite a large potential audience willing to pay to watch - any profits to go to charity!

Great game v. the Germans in the end - and at ht I did actually predict the result!
