San Jose (19th March) is Father's Day in Spain, but it isn't always a holiday. It is today however, and that's why I've been posting as much as I have today.
Spain has a fixed number of national holidays each year. If certain fixed holidays (like Christmas) fall on weekends thus reducing the number of days off during the year, they take other days in the year off instead.
Usual days off this year falling on weekends are
Reyes (Jan 6) - Sunday
Pilar (Oct 12) - Saturday
Inmaculada Concepción (Dec 8) - Sunday
