I hear what you're saying about shower farts, BUT you are at least alone (usually) and can quietly chuckle at how much you've disgusted yourself. Plus, if there is any mishap with follow-through, no problem!
I suggest elevators, especially at work when it is just you and the office fitty in there. Just the two of you and no doubt who it was.
Or, when you are in a meeting and giving a presentation. I get nervous tummy so this is a big prob for me! Trying to hold it in without looking like I'm having a stroke, or jus tlet it go? Stressful times. |  |

I was once in an child in need meeting for a young person I worked with, where at the beginning of the meeting the mother lifted one leg off her chair, let rip a huge fart and then exclaimed "sorry, I had curry last night".
I kid you not. Bold as brass. I nearly fell off my chair, spent the rest of the meeting trying desperately not to make further eye contact with my colleague lest we end up rolling around on the floor in laughter, particularly as you could tell she was squeezing one or two smaller ones out at various points. | |

Years ago I was really worried about flatulence and did a search on the subject, one webpage reassured me that the gas just gets absorbed into intestinal walls if you hold it in.
Been holding it in ever since, bit worried about what happens now when I finally let rip but at least I will be able to walk through doorways again. | |
