Thank god, I've been terrified that we will run out of Hilti direct fastening systems.

I'll be convinced if he secures the same the Faroe Isles. Until then...

Sorry but you're going to have to settle for Fiji and Papua New Guinea.

I seem to have missed this news.

Fox is getting routinely hammered on Twitter by trade experts. He keeps claiming that these agreements are complete roll-overs safeguarding all trade terms in the event of no deal, yet the reality in most cases is that there are major items excluded, services aren't covered and simply it's just about zero tariffs. Not looking to diminish anything that has genuinely been achieved, but he's being openly misleading. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though and assume he may not realise it.

Let's also remember that none of this presents a new opportunity. It only minimises some of the impact in the event of no deal.

You don't have to scratch very deep with this stuff to realize that they're talking rubbish most of the time.

Come on, Liam Fox bestriding the world of global trade with his smouldering good looks and heavyweight intellect is the one good thing to come from all this. This thread clearly shows that he's really going toe to toe with the big boys.

Has David Davis done the "easy" deal with Germany over automobile trade yet?

They never fail to deliver (by not delivering, ironically). Got to laugh, otherwise you'd cry

That's actually footage of Liam Fox's lead trade negotiator trying to reach an agreement with Andorra over new tariff rates for bouncy balls and tickles.
