Don't think it's going to happen but apparently May is going to give a statement tonight and Paddy Power has stopped taking bets on a GE being called.
Reported by the Independent Live feed.
I suspect it'll be more of the same, likely blaming the EU for not doing exactly what she wanted with regards to the delay. Peston saying it could be that she won't remain as PM if brexit is delayed past Jun 30th.
Guess nobody has a clue.

Edit: That's a clickbait headline even the Mail would be proud of

If she calls a GE now, she will undoubtedly be the most notorious PM for calling GE's at bad times, this might even be worse timing than giving up the minor majority she had in parliament that would have allowed here to get Brexit through commons. Dear oh dear.
Zed says one of the following three things happens tonight:
1. May resigns 2. May calls general election 3. May walks out of No. 10, says nothing has changed and that her deal is the only deal which delivers on the result of the referendum
No, not at the moment

Not a 4th option where she challenges Tusk to a Star Trek style fight? Something like this:

Seems as they are reporting that the EU are only willing to grant an extension on the grounds an agreement on the deal is reached, I pretty much expect #3 with "its all or nothing time for my deal" or some sh1te like that.

It'll be number 3. She has none of the attributes needed for it to be either 1 or 2. There's a slim possibility she announces she won't be PM beyond the 30th of June whatever happens and uses this to get the backing of enough of the ERG to bribe and bully her deal through next week. She'll then give those lunatics the keys to the next stage of negotiations, which is a frankly terrifying prospect.
Based on Tusk's statement and what May has said, the possibility of no-deal is still on, which means there's little point in the ERG buckling if there's a MV3, and there's a big possibillity now of May falling, which means there's no point in Labour or anyone else buckling.
Looks like it's either a no-deal scenario or a long extension based on an agreement with the EU that we go for whatever combination of General Elections, Referendums, Indicative Votes, Tombolas and Secret Santas anyone thinks might sort it out. But, the one thing that is looking less likely is May's deal being forced through somehow.
EDIT - maybe they are all going to buckle and May will pull a dead rabbit from the hat, I've no clue. Or maybe she's about to resign.

I suspect its no 3. Her speech will be broadcast to the country but is only intended for a small cabal of MP's to get them to change their mind. It will be a waste of time. Whoever is advising her is useless - could it be Trump?
Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?

Maybe it is Trump Junior seems as he feels our democracy is dead, our democracy isn't dead, it is just extremely short sighted with no backup plan, as is quite common for us.

No MV3 by homer_12318 Mar 2019 16:07 Although it's becoming clear across the water that the EU are now concerned about being held to ransome over an extension by other EU countries.
So, oddly, it's not nailed on they will acccept an extension. At the moment, a 'short' extension to get May's deal (or whatever it finally is) through could get quick and easy ratification from the 27. Anything longer is going to cause the EU issues as it did whem Cameron went in 2015.
So, if they refuse an extension......we have choice? Leave with no deal or revoke Article 50 altogether.

If it's not number 3, it's not the real Theresa May.

It will be everyone else's fault, her deal is the best deal, delivers what the country voted for etc. I doubt that a GE will be called. MV3 or else I expect will be the message.

Every time I see that I think it's her head put on another person's body.
But then, no, I remember. That's my Prime Minister.

There's been loads of these statements where the media ramp up the possibility of a GE or May resigning then it's her saying the same tired old rubbish.
I'd quite like her to resign now. Long extension. New remainer PM. Referendum 2.0.
