Assuming the Scum don’t manage to f**k it up, am I right in thinking we’d definitely play their under 21s next season in the Johnstone Paint Checkatrade nonsense competition? Because it’s regionalised.

Anyone know if there’s a chance we wouldn’t play them? Because that’s a horrific thought.

Not that horrible - as long as we win.

If so, we'll put our own U21s out - and probably hammer them.
You worry too much.

It is possible but not definite they could be drawn with us as there are 8 groups of 4 teams in the North and in the South, 16 groups in total ....Equally it is possible but not definite they will even be in it if they get promoted, although as a category 1 academy and premier league team they would probably very likely be given the choice, and they did play in it a couple of seasons back....Equally it is possible but not definite they could be in the North and we could be in the South...i need to check that, but it could happen.

Possible yes, likely no. They didn't play in it this season and no guarentee they will play in it next either. Most likely we would be drawn with Col who, Southend and one of the London teams ( probably Spurs ).

Happened to Sunderland this season having to play Newcastle's U21's in that competition.

Decent attendance, decent atmosphere and a good result by all accounts:

Still, can you imagine if we lost to their U21's though!? The p**s taking and humiliation would be almost unbearable that I'd rather we didn't play them and risk that happening

Would be at home, under 21s teams don't play at home in this competition.

Then we'd receive a fine... which is ironic as they would probably do a better job against them

They've certainly chosen a good time to go on a run. 8 wins on the bounce isn't it? Pretty good effort that.
