That’s the one. They’re all bonkers. I reckon Benters would be labelled a Guardian reader on there.

There are so many amazing comments on there - but to be fair, with my professional head on, you should have UK warning labels if selling those goods in UK - although I doubt TS will get involved. They are too busy nicking car boot sale sellers.

New one for me. on 11:54 - Apr 4 with 2451 views | No9 | I missed your comment - what was it about? All I can say is - If you like Spanish food, German beer, Italian wine & Brigitte Bardot you may be classed as a 'wrongun'

It's not our fault if you're a "pathetic, socially inadequate, unemployable in the real world, hand-wringing leftist". You should stay in your "student unions sipping soya milk". Think I've found the article!

Some strong photoshopping here: The vast majority of those comments though, I like how Common Sense (sic) goes off on a complete tangent about you based on one comment.

Thx for drawing my attention to the thread! Makes the Mail Online comments read like the Guardian's. I guess I am at the same time both shocked but not surprised. No good will ever come out of hatred.

A valiant effort to fend off the Easily Outraged, and Olly Fayers is giving it a good go too. Some of those comments are unbelievable. Makes you wonder whether we really share the same streets with some of these people or if they just turn into narrow-minded, vindictive little sh*ts when they sit in front of a keyboard.

The best thing about it is these frothing morons who slag off the paper (it's sh1te to be fair) but seem to spend a lot of their valuable time reading it and complaining. It's like they enjoy being offended by something. Heed the words of Confucius... When newspaper is bad, the wise man will avoid. When newspaper is utter sh1te, the tvats will come running.

He's clicked my name and looked at other comments I have made, one of which was about the Indian festival thing when I said that there was a diverse crowd. I don't think he understands the word diverse.

I went to the Portuguese Cafe after the Forest game and ordered 5 bottles of Superbock and it cost me £7, watched the 2nd half of a Portuguese Liga game. You couldn't get a beer that cheap at Wetherspoons - amazes me how narrow minded some people are

New one for me. on 14:15 - Apr 4 with 2171 views | ITFC_Forever | It's even worse than the "Ipswich Remembers" Facebook page. A thread usually starts with a picture of somewhere in Ipswich from 20 - 200 years ago. It can be of the town centre, pubs, schools, or random streets from the estates. Then within a couple of comments, someone will say "this is from when Ipswich was a nice place to live" and very soon after will be a comment alluding to "before all the foreigners came in". I left the page a good while ago as I got so p1ssed off with it, but I would wager there is probably now a "Leave means leave" agenda to it as well. Oh, and when ITFC are featured, there's usually "Those Were The Days" comments, then more slagging off the current team / management team / ME / the fans that go. There's a lot of morons in Ipswich. I may have to go to Dorset Saturday evening, man alive they are something else down there. I have to go to a little village called Pimperne, if you spoke in a foreign accent or if you had a slight tinge you would be hanged from the village hall flagpole.

It's actually improved a bit recently and the volume of posts has gone down. My favourite one was somebody pointing out that things were a bit crap in the 80s at times and getting loads of nostalgia-tinted abuse. My other favourite thing on that group is pictures of any dreadful building from the past that no longer exists and people moaning about it having been demolished. It's that or the Cornhill.
