He's got a lovely tan at the moment, I wonder how differently things would have gone with him instead of Hurst last year

We probably wouldn't have lost so many of our best players, but neither would we have pushed on particularly. I reckon we'd have been somewhere around mid-table, but still with a moderately good feel about the place (GB has a lot of credit with most of the fans).

Always funny to see how many people are surprised that football people are Tories.

I guess being educated and involved in football is somewhat rare.

I'm just glad to see an ex-footballer reading anything. Even if it is the Mail.

Explains why he picked Wayne Brown. *Allegedly.

Joke, George is a legend, I've known him a long time and he's a wonderful bloke. I was flying the flag for his return this time last year but alas, it wasn't to be.

*purely for Phil's benefit that.

Used to work in the same building as Trinity-Mirror and our companies shared a lift. You could always spot the Racing Post writers.

I'm not a fan of the Star's theatre section, was far too forgiving of the latest RSC run. They simply murdered Taming of the Shrew. Ghastly.
