Think this is probably my favourite if I had to pick one.

Many people believe Kurt was MK Ultra and that Courtney shot him and made it look like a suicide. I certainly don't subscribe to those theories.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

The Broomfield documentary is interesting and some of the books since ask a few good questions, but a bloke with his mental health and drug history committing suicide isn't the leap some like to believe unfortunately.

If Courtney Love wasn't shrouded in such bad PR she'd probably get an easier ride of it too. I guess as with MJ fans the unpleasant and hard to swallow stuff that seems logical and truthful, can be buried by enough refusal.

I was there that year at Reading. Was a fantastic line-up, though there are significant parts of the weekend I can't remember.

Lounge Act is my pick off Nevermind.

This is just immense.

Yes. Was always the one that jostled with Lounge Act for me. Between the two you get both extremes of his songwriting etc.

Had its time and place though. And of course anyone killing themselves is a tragedy in one way and another, but that's a different story.

There's always something primal with the great bands or pieces of rock and Cobain had it in bags. Four minutes in and he goes to places very few ever go to.

The man had and still is a beautiful soul - if that isn't too much of a celestial contradiction.

Great choices by the other posters here, and another one that always struck me to strike my table and other nearby furniture with a pair of invisible drumsticks is the quintessential Anthems from Hell, otherwise known as Side B of Incesticide.

Side A gets you somewhere in the same style as let's say a Renault 5 Turbo. Then you flip the tape and the walls bend in like pyramids and the transcendental journey can begin.

Starting with Beeswax, but my favourite has to be Hairspray Queen as it reminds me of some total bitch I knew at work, she pulled the most ridiculous self-conscious faces, slapped a tonne of makeup all over her puss to hide behind, and if you made eye contact she looked at you like she hated you and herself in equal measures. I made friends with her much to my surprise and then much to her surprise I "dated" her for a year during which she inspired me to much poetry and pseudonyms. I dumped her for an ill-conceived and evidently doomed sojourn to France where I burned 10 years of my life on some dullard who thought good music could be played on a keyboard accompanied by corny choruses. It cannot. We did have 3 beautiful cats together, on the positive side.

She eventually booted me out of her home and country, and I find myself now (still looking for myself however) in London. Living with, oddly, that same Hairspray Broad who continues to annoy me but now without the extra bits we once tickled so fondly. Good riddance to all of that - time is not the only disease. Love hurts. F-off.
