Assuming there's an rcd or rcbo in the circuit it's fine, worst thing to happen is it will trip out., if not then yes it's dangerous but nobody should have sockets without them fitted these days. |  |

Can't see that it is dangerous. Always a good idea to cut the grass when it is dry regardless of method.
Biggest risk with an electric mower is ensuring you don't cut through the wire. For that reason, it would be mad not to have an RCD if you are using one. |  |
