Flexible extension! on 08:08 - Apr 11 with 1313 views | Herbivore | It's an odd length. It's too long to create pressure but too short to enable a GE or referendum. I expect talks with Labour to break down shortly and May to bring her deal back after Easter with a stark choice for her hard Brexiteers between her deal or no Brexit. She might just get enough numbers onside then.

Well it's not like we havent just had nearly 3 years of it so whats another 6 months? Who knows, we may see the collapse of both principal political parties in that time with any luck.

At what point does keeping kicking the cans down the road become worse than if we had walked away, no deal?

Flexible extension! on 11:18 - Apr 11 with 1231 views | ElderGrizzly | This is the problem. May thinks because she voted for her deal and others didn’t it is everyone else's fault.

I mean, there is a certain irony to Brexit not happening because Brexiteers refused to vote for Brexit.

No one is ever going to kick us out. They said there would only be an extension if there was a commitment for something major, like a general election or referendum or a change in the deal our end that would make it likely to go through but those cowards will never veto despite the tough talk. If they think there is even a slightest chance of no deal they'll extend it and they'll go on extending as long as we ask for. They're encouraging a revoke, of course.

Flexible extension! on 15:10 - Apr 11 with 1145 views | No9 | The only problem being thse who are in government will waste the additional time just as they have wasted the time since the referendum vote. They look no nearer to any formation of ideas then when Mr Cameron said their would be a referendum - 2013 Incompetence or by deliberate thinking?
