We don't really do tackling, do we.

Whisper it quietly but we might perhaps have missed Skuse last night given how easily Brentford cut through us in the first half. Notably in the second we sat deeper and were not as vulnerable (yes, they had chances still but didn't cut us open every time they broke forward).

Chambers and especially Nsiala repeatedly forced to come out and challenge players running directly at them. No screen or protection offered from what was four central midfielders with no real width. Admittedly, Toto loves to dive in anyway! Downes was shadownoxing for the first 45 and failed to put in a real challenge from what I could see. Oh, sorry, he hacked a man down after he fell over and gave the ball away for the 2nd.

Yes, don't tell anyone but it was obvious after the first 10 minutes or so that there was nobody making tackles, making interceptions, tracking runners etc-in other words there was no Cole Skuse.

On the 56 second mark, checkout the defending, about as bad as you will ever ever see. Even if players in front should of been pressing and shielding the defence that kind of headless chicken defending is going to see us relegated. Then on 1.13 he leaves his man unmarked just outside the six yard box. Still, next season in League 1 he is going to be immense!
