My laptop just decided to do a massive update whilst I didn't want it to but anyhoo, when it came back to life it informed me that I have no antivirus - or rather it told me that Windows and another antivirus thing were turned off.
So, how can I check if I have any antivirus and if I haven't what is the best free one to install?

Assuming you’re on windows 10, go to the search bar in the bottom left corner and type Windows Defender, then click Turn on. That’s the built in Windows one. |  | | |

I've gone for bitdefender
It reminded me of our defence
