Evans ? Lambo ? Hurst ? Numbskulls that hounded out mick ?

I would say 1 Evans
2 Numbskulls that hounded out mick
3 Hurst
4 Lambo (he definitely has some responsibility he had plenty of time to turn it around and has done nothing)

Evans. Been coming for years.

Relegation has been coming for years under Evans. He owns a bus. He pretends he cares about the bus but has let the bus deteriorate over the years. He also watched as his driver fell asleep whilst driving towards the cliff edge.

Hurst just sped it up. He thought it was a great idea to sell our engine and replace with cheaper engines from a couple of minibuses. The bus went from slowly travelling in first gear to going off the cliffs to motoring towards them with no plan in place to stop the inevitable.

Lambert has jumped into the passenger seat whilst the brakes had fallen off and is desperately trying to pull the handbrake but no matter how hard he tries, and how popular he is with the passengers on board, he can’t stop the bus from careering over the cliff edge.

Mick was the previous driver. He was a bit boring but would get you from A to B without any casualties. The passengers often complained about him because his music on board was sh*te and he sometimes showed no care for them whatsoever. He even went as far as telling a few at the back to f**k off once. However, he was steady and knew how to drive the ever deteriorating automobile.

The passengers are the victims here. They’d been on that bus route for years - young and old. The bus has gone off the cliffs but the passengers will survive. And they’ll continue taking that route. Albeit via League 1.

I think you mean who is responsible, as I don't think you can actually own something like a relegation

And the person I would say then is Marcus Evans.

He has run the club into the ground by running it on the cheap for years.

Hurst has to be at the top. His new strategy and transfer dealings in the summer from a position of strength (young players coming through, a fair bit of value in the squad he cashed in on) were incomprehensible.

So, Evans takes some of that blame. We'd sacrificed a couple of seasons while we built up the sustainability of the squad and seemed to abandon that overnight.

Then again we have fans who just wanted change for change's sake. I understand that it's boring in the Championship midtable but that's still a decent achievement in modern football. If you take that for granted then you get what you deserve.

Lambert may not be the Messiah but I'm thankful he's keeping this sh!tshow together and still keeping things a little bit positive despite the bare facts that this is our worst season in living memory by a country mile.

1. Evans - he is accountable and responsible for managing the football club into the ground. His selection of managers? Jeez.
2. Sheepshanks. On his watch the club was bankrupted. It shafted local businesses and went a long way at that time to destroying its reputation. He then flogged it to Evans who completed the job.
3. Hurst - out of his depth. Utterly
4. Keane & Jewell: in different ways clueless
5. Lambert: a bit harsh because he inherited a pile of cack but we we relegated on his watch. Improvement has been limited. But I would keep him.
Burley: had to go, sadly. Royle: like Lyle at the end of his career but he did well with what he had.
Magilton: Not great but he had a feel for the football club and compared to most of his successors, could have been worse. McCarthy: for all his effectiveness and knowledge, I couldn’t abide his attitude to the club, it’s supporters or the way his teams played (mostly).

1. Hurst first and foremost, signing Chalobah and Pennington as neither are good enough for the Championship and their individual mistakes cost lots of goals and played far too many games.

2. MM for leaving behind a squad largely incapable of completing a simple pass.

3. Bad luck with injuries.

4. Appalling decisions by referees with harsh red cards and so many decisions against Town.

5. Marcus Evans for only pumping in £8 million per year of his own money to prop up a financially unsustainable EFL model.

Some of the blame must go to Greg Dyke, Bert Millichip and the others who sold the soul of English football for the Murdoch dollar.

Those who allowed it to become impossible for a moderate sized club backed by a family business to compete at the highest levels, through developed player quality and coaching skill.

Sure, Evans made bad mistakes, Hurst was out of his depth and Lambert has been unable to turn things around on the pitch. But I don't see why the men who turned football from a sport to a money-drain should get off scot free.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

No Rommers, it’s a plane.

MM just loved taxiing, Hurst locked himself out of the cockpit, Lamberts just got us to the end of the runway.

More like a moped, Evans wanted to take it all the way to Hull and back but didn't pay to get it properly maintained and ended up abandoning it in a field.

Not sure who owns it but the contenders should be Hurst, Hurst, Hurst and Hurst.

Surprised and disappointed that PL was not able to correct it but no blame from me(or presumably ME)for him.

If it was necessary for MM to leave then anyone competent that followed him should have done ok or better with the squad that we had when last season finished plus a few sensible additions.

It all started when a few fans got bored with a dull 1—0 win or a good solid draw when they wanted an exciting 2-1 defeat, this then got Micks back up which is not surprising when he did a hell of a job keep us in the championship and he reacted.

Well you got what you wanted and now look at us, League 1 and it could be for years.

Ps. For what it’s worth I do like lambert but unless he gets a good start next season he will soon be gone also and he knows it.

Numbskull McCarthy is to blame. His coaching sucked the life out of everyone. No coincidence that every club he's coached have been relegated. Move on, rebuild, it will get better.

I wanted MM to go, and I’m still happy he’s gone, even though we are relegated, but he kept this club up for a long while. Evans is to blame, pure and simple. This season, it just caught up with him.
