Not sure he'd be a serious contender given his recent managerial record.

Plus, despite our worst season in 62 year (or whatever it is), we still are a far better prospect than managing Scotland.

True, managing Scotland would be awful.

I think we could beat Scotland.

Yep, because McLeish is such a good manager with an amazing track record.

Scotland give that job to anyone stupid enough to accept it these days.

Lambert would be a good choice IMO. I think he's done well for us with the players available and that's pretty much the job at international level.

As an Ipswich and Scotland fan I'm torn. But overall hoping Lambert stays with us as we're potentially at another level of crisis.

McLeish did very well last time around and carried on the good work of Walter Smith.

Ironically, for us Ipswich fans, it was GB that put everything into a tailspin and probably why no-one's really looked at him since.

Jack Ross is far too young to take that job. It’s Steve Clarke’s if he wants it and that’s by no means certain. For those worried about Lambert leaving, even Scotland don’t want someone with three wins in his last 28 games - or five in 44 if you count what he ‘achieved’ at Stoke.
