Wasnt Lambert's squad, needs a preseason to make his mark with some new arrivals which will happen and if you think its easy to get motivated when you have nothing to play for ( Lambert has to say they are) then think again. Lambert has changed the style of football. It seems fairly clear he was never confident of getting out of it and has prepared for next season. |

He's beyond criticism in my book until the autumn. He inherited an absolute nightmare. I'm optimistic he'll turn it around. |
I've always said he deserves a good summer, but he's had 30 games with this squad and they still can't do the basics at the back well enough and that is incredibly alarming.
Now that's either poor coaching, or poor footballing ability. Either way, lambert has to rectifying it in the summer. | |

Think you have hit the nail on the head. Possibly a free transfer (Norwood) or two. It will be a culture shock for quite a few of us older supporters and certainly a tough league to get out of. |  |

If you go back and look at the timeline I don't think it's an unreasonable position. Can you imagine if we didn't sign anyone? The fans would have lost their minds. I think Lambert thought we might get out of it to begin with but it very quickly became obvious that we could not survive. You've seen people saying we're basically on an extended pre-season. I agree with them.
I actually find it more surprising people like you are so negative. I realise things aren't 100% rosy but I don't see what being negative is going to achieve, especially when the general consensus, even from sceptics seems to be that Lambert deserves a proper season after a proper pre-season with his own squad. |  |

He had to take a punt but it didn’t work. That doesn’t mean a squad coached properly in pre season with a style of playing, bonded etc can’t succeed. Personally I think we have to give Lambo until (say) November, see what is happening. I’m hopeful. |
My thoughts too. If we can start next season well, get some confidence through a few victories and get a bit of momentum this will help massively. Such a disappointment today result and performance wise, it will be interesting the reaction on Monday (pleased it's so soon after today, instead of having to wait a week). PL was very bullish in his post match interview, the player's reaction against Swansea City could be very telling. | |

Is that the October when we realise it still isn't getting better and we are lumbered with Lambert's deadwood. Look I sincerely hope he turns it round I really do. However a more united fanbase maybe so but it isnt exactly manifesting itself in points on the board. I am really struggling to to understand why Lambert should not be questioned. |  | | |
