----------Jackson----Keane/Norwood

Wolfie pushing for a CB role
Dozzell pushing for a CM role
Lankester pushing for the AM role (if he can play through the middle?)

I think the defence definitely needs strengthening and we obviously need someone who can put the ball in the net, hopefully Jackson will come good as well. New right back and new centre back need to be prioritised as well as a striker for me.

Unfortunately I just don’t think Kenlock and Emmanuel can cut it for us if we want to bounce straight back. I always want them to do well and will them to do the very best, but I’d worry about the quality of the back up fullbacks if those two were first choice? Unpopular opinion maybe, but I wouldn’t have either of them as first choice as it stands.

Are there any other promising full backs pushing through from the academy?

If we go one up top - the new DM playing behind a fluid midfield quartet of Judge, Nolan, Bishop, and Lankester (behind a prolific forward) could lead to some attractive, attacking football.

Priority in the window must be a new striker (possibly two, if you want Norwood and someone like Keane), a new right back, a new left back, and that central midfielder. Ideally Emmanuel and Kenlock would provide competition and Skuse / Downes would be in contention for that defensive midfield slot, but I think we need somebody in there who has similar attributes to Chalobah, who can break up play and has the vision and passing ability to quickly start attacks.

Exactly.

Would love to see JE/MK do well, but they don't seem to have enough quality.

Spence/Knudsen?

That was a joke.

RIP Sir Bobby

We could do that, but it will be same old same old. And we’d finish mid table.

Lankester, Dozzell, H Wright, Downes, Harrison, Nsiala, Kenlock.

A rather wishful midfield here, hoping that Adeyemi can be the physical presence and Huws can offer the forward players the service they so lack, but it would be good to get these 2 back out on the pitch.

We can't mess around in League One for a few years waiting for our youngsters to develop, so we need to bring in 2 new fulls backs, a powerful CF or 2, probably a good wide player.

Boyos I would be amazed if Skuse and Chambers are in the team next season. Have you *seen* them play lately? Lambert isnt mad.
We will have an almost-entirely new team next year.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I agree they are not good enough as fullbacks that's why I would play as wingbacks. With options to use Ward Donacien and Nydam as back up. The formation gives a fluid midfield and 2 up front we already have the players to do it. Would anyone want us to go back for Tilt from Blackpool?

A new RWB and a new LWB, I really don't think we're too far off then...it really isn't the Championship, we have the quality imo, especially if we can get Huws and Adeyemi fit..(IF!)

Emmanuel played full season in League 1 for play off winning team so he is 'proven' in League 1

Wow, not one post mentioning Gwion Edwards so far.... not rated at all?

Hurst’s best signing, I reckon.

And he tore League One up when he was at Peterborough.

For me I was effectively choosing between Edwards and new left winger in a 4-2-3-1 and Bishop and Jackson in a diamond. Essentially Edwards was the victim for me wanting two up front.
