Inflatables day for the Leeds at home? 10:31 - Apr 24 with 15781 viewsArnieM

Someone suggested this on FB..... seems a good idea to me . At least it makes it a carnival atmosphere on top of an anticipated noisy one too. We all know we’re relegated . We can’t change that , so let’s go out on a high note and show the Country that ITFC fans have done class and are loyal.

Yep, at least a decade before that.

But what's your point?

No-one's promoted yet, and Leeds still can be. Them's the only facts so far. And if you know football, you'll know anything can happen, and to assume anything is folly.

anything can indeed happen in football, won't argue with you there. That said, the chances of Leeds having a promotion party at Portman Road look very slim, frankly. I would love it to happen. But given Sheff Utd have a home game coming up v one of the worst teams in Championship history....

But your first post would appear to suggest that Leeds getting promoted at PR was likely whereas it is in fact unlikely.

Certainly not impossible but improbable.

I raise your "at least a decade" by about 20 years.

I've not attempted to suggest I've been watching football longer than you.

I bet Bloots will downarrow this.

I know that you have not attempted to suggest that and I believe that you know that you have not been watching football longer than me.

I was just following on from Illy's 1987 and your "decade longer".

People who like a carnival atmosphere may be better off going to a carnival rather than a football match.

Quite right, you don't want to be enjoying yourself at a football match.

It would basically be helping Leeds celebrate their promotion. It's a terrible idea.

No, I just won’t be offended if people want to bring them and enjoy themselves, and I will join in too, why do people make such a big deal out of things, lighten up and enjoy life.

I won't be offended if people bring them. It's just an opinion that it makes us look tinpot and a bit simple. I've enjoyed them before, as I've said.

And I am saying who cares what others think, just enjoy yourself and worry about your own happiness, which you have said you enjoyed them before but don’t want to enjoy them again because people you don’t know think that you are tinpot.

It’s our worst season ever ffs.

We should be for a game that means nothing protesting at the owner.

Instead he’s had a free ride as usual.

I'm far from Evans' biggest fan, but there are signs he might finally be improving. Having a pop at the owner isn't likely to do any good and could well have a negative impact on the team. I'd also be wary of biting the hand that feeds us.

An organised protest before/after the game is a different prospect.

Don’t let the usual miserable culprits dampen your spirit. I am with you mate. Last home game of the season, sun shining, beers flowing and enjoy the day out. I can’t wait for it, should be a great laugh.
