Evans and Lambert read this, annoyed and just back from Sheffield 22:43 - Apr 27 with 3259 viewsChocorange

1. Today's game.
Most of their attacking p,any came down the wings.... Yet we wete slow to react , even from throws or corners ,too slow, outnumbered and another cross goes into the box...
2.So is it our players cannot follow simple tactics of is it that they weren't told to?
Even Harry from Bath's report makes it clear that's where there strength is.. Tactically off the pace.
Most managers who come into a club do not get given the time PL has had , and definitely not with the poor results he has produced.
I think we would have got more points with Hurst...would have been hard not to.
Look at what Wilder has done at The Blades... I am sure he had just as many players who weren't up to it but found a system and instilled it quickly , all I have heard is too much BS.
3. Sick and tired of going to away games where the football is the low spot of the day ,had a great day today...until the football..... give us something to support, give the kids that go something to enjoy or we will lose them, the highlight this season has come from the fans , the atmos generated by the fans, the players and manager zilch.
4. Lambert said in an interview a few months ago , that while he was out of work that he went to Germany and spoke to a coach he knew well ( reported on twtd I believe ) and had took away from that to stick to what he believed in and it would work. Well it hasn't worked, it took far too long to ditch the playing out from the back that our players were incapable of doing and we are still persisting with this formation that neither makes us defensively secure nor offers much if any shots or attacking menace. Time to rethink.
5. No thank you to Will Keane either , off injured again, happened far too often in his career, we need a target man who can hold the ball up and who will play 40 games next season.
5. Don't play Jackson up top alone ever again , it's beyond a joke.

We sign 'sick notes' because they are cheap.

Cheap, as in Evans whole attitude to our club.

Didzy does have a track record of performing well in his 1st season at a club, and then go missing.

Poll: How are we going to try and undermine the manager today?

Just a quick on on point 5.
Who would you play along side Jackson?

Poll: Now that The Athletic has an article, is this takeover actually happening?

There's so much inaccuracy with this post it beggars belief. And you know it's bad when you get an endorsement from Bluefish!

Great OP.....agree with all of it.Wilder and others improve things when they come in ....Lambert hasn't at all....as one journalist said roughly......and amazingly PL is still gaining employment having won 16 games in 3 years!!! That was weeks ago and still no wins.I cannot believe fans love the guy just because he is so full of PR bull and says lovely things about the fans.....I prefer a win than a slight improvement to the playing style. To me it's not been worth enduring all the losses to get almost nowhere. We have no quality but any manager like pards or megson could have done as much as the bluffer PL ....it annoys me so much the fans and Evans are letting him continue....can't see us looking great in league one as the guy is no better than PH

Which point 5? There appears to be two.

To the OP.......Jackson wasn't supposed to be up front on his own. Keane had 5 minutes there before being injured. There are no others strikers available.

I do wonder why none of the academy strikers have been brought into the team.

Play someone out of position then, lumping it the head of Jackson and then judge was so painful to see. Lambert has done the same since he has been here regardless of the number of fit strikers. Jackson must never ever play in a 1 up top again and for the record i have always said how painful it was in the past when we did the same with pitman or Sears

Aren窶冲 they all injured too?

It's 106 miles to Portman Road, we've got a full tank of gas, half a round of Port Salut, it's dark... and we're wearing blue tinted sunglasses.

Agreed. The only striker we have had in the last few years who was able to control a ball being 'lumped' up the pitch was Daryl Murphy.

The strikers we have at the moment, Jackson, Quaner and Keane cannot cope with high balls and always head them either behind or well away straight to an opposing player.

Another post from you that doesn't make any sense. If nothing else, you're very consistent.

The OPs rant is just a long ramble after a defeat against a far superior side much like your rants every week. Our season has been over for at least 10 games yet you seem to be expecting a doomed side and squad low in confidence to turnaround a dismal season by putting results together when it's all done and dusted.

PL is looking at players contracts and trying out new approaches ahead of next season. The last ten games have been experimental and given youth a chance to get some Championship experience under their belt to stand them in better stead for League 1 but you see fit to slate them week In week out if you don't see visible progress. You won't, not now. Too much inexperience out there and too little confidence.

I feel the OP's frustration but you're spot on. The season has been over for a while so Lambert may as well tinker with things and give players a run out...work out what works, what doesn't etc. Pre-season with some new faces to fit the bill of what Lambert wants to do can't come soon enough.

Poll: How much did you actually think Mick would spend in January?
