Norwich City's promotion to the Premier League caps one of the club's "greatest ever seasons".

Isn't that so true, Chris.

To be fair, if we got promoted it would be one of our greatest ever seasons.

Sure we have had better, but certainly not many in my time as a Town fan.

Spot on. 2000 was one of our greatest seasons. Not the greatest by any stretch of the imagination. But one of them.

And then I remember that their fans are inbreds, they wear stupid yellow and green replica kits (and wigs), they have the worst football 'anthem' known to man, they have never won anything (apart from a match in Munich once), they have no history, they call themselves 'The Canaries', they have a sh!tty ground, they call people such as Darren Huckerby 'legends', Chris Sutton used to play for them and they once 'took' the Station Hotel.
No - still glad I'm not them. ITID.

To be fair, it was the greatest season I have witnessed as a Town.

Edit: Second to 2000-01!

I am sure I read somewhere that the U23's always play away from home. so would only be a home game for us.

In fairness, as a cook, she has handled their finances better than our so called financial wizard has managed ours.

Don't dispute that it would be great for us, and for so many who've not seen better, but we wouldn't be creating a fourth star for it, as we indeed did not do when also finishing runners-up in the top league.

Agreed. The April win at Southend which basically sealed the title was fantastic. What I've never understood is why so many fans consider our Fa cup win much bigger than our UEFA cup success, when you consider we are one of only 11 English teams to have won a European trophy, especially when you consider many teams a lot bigger than us have never won anything in Europe!

The Cup win came at the time when it was the only domestic fixture screened live in a season, wasn't treated by clubs with the contempt it is now and the true showpiece of the season.

The thing going against the UEFA Cup win was that it was largely unseen by Town fans as it only had TV highlights at best (Not even sure it had that)

Yes I believe it did have highlights which was annoying when you consider the European wins by Aberdeen and Spurs in 83 and 84 were shown live on ITV.

They have had a fantastic season, playing great football with bravery and conviction, filling their ground with happy fans, and their recruitment has been sensational. Yes, Sutton has made a good point.
