This 12000 total to get a reduction 16:08 - May 7 with 6493 viewsnodge_blue

To be quite honest - I'd rather the club kept the money and we bought players!!

is everyone really that desperate for what would be about £30.

What we really want is a good team to watch next year?

Indeed.

What is the point of setting specific figures and then bending the rules despite the figures not being hit?

That's twitter for you. Default response... outrage.

So 50% of the tweets probably represents about 2% of the people who took it up!

A particular favourite is:

"The 11748 should have been given the chance to purchase the 252 between them.

Working at an average price of £ 400 for a ticket 252 X 400 = 100800 divided by 11748 = £ 8.58 each to get an average of £35 to £ 40 back each.

As we were not, and the ticket office was closed yesterday, it would be good business to give a 7.5% discount across the board - I think those of us who had tickets through all the Keane, Jewell, Mc Carthy and Hurst debacle should get 50%!! "

Top work that.

We got 10600 last season. I can't believe so many thought we would get 12,000. Now they are crying about it. Why sign up if you are depending on the refund? It's so stupid.

Has anybody demanded an independent recount?

Knowing how ME runs his businesses, it wouldn’t be an unwarranted request...

Having the deadline day fall on a bank holiday, with closed ticket office hasn’t helped, I feel.

I will make up the missed savings by not purchasing a Portman Pie for 10 home matches. Sorted.

People these days seem to have conflated 'begging for free sh*t' with good PR. The two are not the same.

Perhaps the EFL could let us stay up given we only finished 13 points from safety. That'd be good PR.

The idea was to get you to encourage others to buy a ticket. It didn't work. You failed. Why should you be rewarded?

When did we turn into a nation of melts who can't take no for an answer?!

Yes, I was thinking that about our points.

Given the number of draws they could say we nearly won enough of them to be given another 14 points.

It was bad because their wasn't a live update that people could see so its all hearsay until after its too late to control.

It was good idea in principal but bad roll out that was always going to create unrest and suspicion unless hit and should have been more up to date,

I don't know, I gave up trying to work people out ages ago.

There probably is a quick win here for ME. The numbers are close to be meaningless financially (for just another 200+ he was prepared to apply the discount). He could do this if he wanted as it'll probably be a drop in the ocean on the accounts.

Not that I'm saying he should (or even that I care!). His target was clear, people should live with it. But there's a good will win there if he needs it.
