Bit disappointed that it says "Dear Supporter" because usually he sends me emails using my christian name.

I suppose that it is ok if your christian name is supporter.

What i've seen already:

Should have done it last season rather than ruin everything

If you want to pay it back to us then sell up

Those folks make a fair point.

I gather that Messrs Anderson and Bassini are currently in the market for football clubs...

"Evans out"

I wonder what they'd say if he genuinely this afternoon just said ok, i'm off and just stopped putting money into the club and never showed his face here again.

I watched an episode of Little Britain recently. The stuff they said about Daffyd would never be allowed if they were releasing that show now.

To be fair on supporters when he does speak he refers to a side rooted to the bottom of a table unable to buy a win as "competitive", I mean how do you expect them to respond to rubbish like that? Same with O'Neil. It's crap and we know it!

Why be upset. He has led us to relegation and enormous debt. Excellent job.

I suppose I’ll have to read it then. I’m expecting a lot of vague nonsense about making mistakes and learning from them that will placate the gullible. But let’s go and have a look....

Edit. Well that didn’t take long. I stand corrected, as it seems ok to me. Doesn’t say anything and certainly nothing to get excited over, but there’s never anything wrong with saying thank you.

Exactly we are far less in debt now than when he joined, mainly thanks to sheepy though

Honestly. Go and own a non league club. It will then make you appreciate how hard it must be for Evans to run a professional set up.

Be thankful for Evans not the opposite. Yes there will be better owners out there.. but only those that billions to spare and how long does that end up lasting...

he really doesn't need to thank anyone for buying a ST, or attending, and if anyone thinks he should they are following the wrong sport.

It is debt to the bloke that owns us, it isn't really debt because it cant be sold on. It could be recovered if we made profit but that won't ever happen. It hasn't been all roses in Marcus' era but people seem to forget the years before weren't a great deal of fun either. The slide down the table and the lack of funds started before ME. We finished 14th under Royle and signed the likes of proudlock and fish because we were desperate. You can not like the situation but you need to be able to try and have some perspective. No matter who owned us today we would struggle to compete financially in the modern game. The real villain is the manager who set fire to ME's big initial investment pot and virtually abandoned the youth team that had historically kept us competitive both financially and on the pitch.

I've never been an ME outer and although he owns our debt, we're still enslaved to a wealthy owner, which is part and parcel of modern football. Fans are pretty powerless so although our debt is managed its still a debt to which we're beholden. Without Evans we may not have a club. With Evans our identity erodes. What's better because the outcomes seem the same just that one is far more painful and drawn out than the other?

And yes, only a few clubs ever turn a profit, which is farcical and points to corruption in my opinion.
