The episodes getting a lot of stick, but I thought it was brilliant. It was obvious she was going to burn the city down even before yesterdays episode. I'm not sure why people are unhappy about it.

But the NK story always was a side story. GoT is about people, corruption, family, power. Not zombies.

The very first scene of the show was members of the nights watch getting attacked by Walkers, Jon and many others banged on for a long time about how the battle for the throne didn't matter. Davos even said that if they didn't band together to fight then they'd all die and it wouldn't matter whos skeleton sat on the Iron Throne. No it wasn't set up to be a side story.
