I think it's because we never hear about, or rather from, referees. Apart from when they're on the pitch making big decisions, we don't see them, which I think is a shame and something the media are missing a trick on. I know Mark Clattenburg has spoken about his career a bit more recently and Halsey as well but you don't hear about the ones currently in the job.
Then again I'm sure they're advised or told not to do media work. |  |
