Great keeping from Butler 17:20 - May 19 with 653 views | Nthsuffolkblue | but how do they decide it is a run out and not a stumping? At what point does it change from one to the other?

Good shout. https://www.lords.org/mcc/laws/stumped seems to concur. Means that if it is a no ball, the keeper should make sure the ball hits the ground in between so that it is run out.

It's the other bit of that isn't it? That Safraz was attempting a run so it is run out. Brilliant improvisation from Butler, unfortunate for Safraz who was expecting to complete his 100 there. The Rashid run out was a thing of beauty too.

It was. Great cricket. Butler's reaction after his throw was great - I wonder when he realised it was still out. There must be a point at which it is unclear whether a batsman has simply overbalanced or set off for a run and attempted to return to the crease, presumably?
