He's been a politician for the best part of 30 years, there are very few active politicians who have been in politics longer. He worked as a stockbroker for a third of the time he's spent in politics, he's been a politician since the age of 30. I think that more than qualifies him as a career politician. Your definition is incredibly narrow, how many people in Westminster do you believe have never done anything other than been in politics? It's not many.

And tell me, what do you really think Farage knows about the real world? He went to public school, worked in the city, and has been in politics since 1993. You'd struggle to find anyone who has had a life more coddled in the trappings of privilege and elitism. He is the definition of the establishment.

You've been totally had by this man of the PayPal, mate. He's hoodwinked you. He's everything he's managed to convince you that he's against.

You sound jealous.

I wonder who will end up in the jug first, Farage or Trump ?

Perhaps Nigel should have a chat with that once 'untouchable' darling of the right, Jeffrey Archer.

If only to find out which is the best bunk .... top or bottom ?

We are never going to agree laddie as you've been well and truly taken in with the EEC/European Union indoctrination programme prevalent since the 1970s.. The EU is undemocratic, it's a project hellbent on creating a dictatorial, federal superstate, rotten to its core. It will fail, sooner or later. The peoples of Europe will see to that.

I prefer sovereign nation states with their own currency and democratically elected parliament.

Once Thursday is out of the way we will then look towards taking Westminster at the next General Election. It's possible either as holding the balance of power or even in a coalition as a majority partner. We can clean up te UK political system and get the nation back on track.

It's gonna be magnificent.

You’re quite mad.

How you go on you would think Farage was leader or a party that was being investigated for the first time in its history for institutional racism!! The hypocrisy from the left on here knows no bounds.

No I add some balance with your obsession that Farage is a racist when your own great leader has a far worse proven record on racism and love ins with terrorist who murder women and children.

I have no love for Farage either and would never vote for him or an extremist like JC.

My great leader? I think Corbyn’s an idiot but this thread is nothing to do with him.

Have a look at your posting history, it’s an obsession.

Well I am glad with both agree that Farage is a plank and Corbyn is also a plank.
I am sick to death of Brexit and the divisions it has caused and the rise of left wing and right wing extremists and I fear these elections tomorrow will cause even further divisions and play into the hands of Farage.

That's just insane.

I mean really take a step back and think about it.

In this country and the USA, people are increasingly trying to turn legitimate, left-wing opposition to the status quo and support for minorities into extremism. In any civilized and balanced country, Corbyn would never be characterized the way you, vested parties and a majority of the media are doing. Take Sweden for example where the PM is basically Corbyn.

Normalising the right espoused by Farage, the ERG, Tommy Robinson et al and demonising the left (we're talking social democracy here not even socialism) are two cheeks of the same @rse.

Pronouns: He/Him

You are beginning to sound like your hero. He is establishment and political establishment in every way except that he's better at screwing every last penny out of an organisation he accuses of waste. Now being investigated for his 450k from Banks too. All the while accusing any organisation that confronts him with his wide ranging hypocrisy of a conspiracy and trying to whip up a populist backlash as per the fascist 30s and 40s. He is despicable in so many ways. Yet you and so many others fall for it. Honestly what is the matter with people.

I love it how those who want to ignore the democratic will of the people call a man who wants to respect it a fascist with absolutely no hint of irony. Buy a dictionary please mate and save us all some time.

Who wants to ignore the democratic will of the people? There is nothing undemocratic about going back to the people now that more is known about what leaving actually looks like. If the people still want to leave then they can express that at the ballot box and we will leave. If they don't then the will of the people will have changed and we will move forward in a way that represents what the majority of people currently want. Comparing people who think such a way forward is a good idea with fascists speaks volumes about you.

Gordon Brown the man of the personal pension ripoff, the man of selling gold for half it's worth, the man not watching when the markets crashed.

Please explain the pension rip-off
Then read what really happened in the gold sell off.

Brown was a useless PM. Nearly as bad as May.

Why do you continually show a complete lack of knowledge of history?
Why don't you tell us what's in it for you?

The current Labour Party that has been hijacked by momentum socialist worker etc etc and currently being investigated for institutional racism and led by some old Marxist who calls terrorists his friends...I thought that was pretty clear.

My goodness head still stuck I see! Last time I checked Swedish PM doesn’t call hamas and IRA his friends and doesn’t campaign against anything and everything to do with the West or capitalism and would be very happy to be bed fellows with a certain Russian dictator and thug.

Of course a smooth operator like Farage of financial wheeling & dealing would know that people could drip feed £ thousands into his party - while A Banks provided him with a high flying life style.

There is something about 'Banks'

I wondered. Just that they've actually had virtually no role whatsoever in Brexit and the current divisions (other than by failure to engage - so quite the opposite of extremism). And I haven't seen any public examples of their supporters causing grief over Brexit either. All of the driving force for more extreme behaviour/views seems to be coming from one side.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't face the music over antisemitism, etc. Of course they should. Can you even be an extremist if you're apathetic and as useful as a chocolate teapot? .

Speaking of Russians just how close are the brexit lot to the Russians - look not at those who make the headlines but those who are less well known e.g. Paul Staines
