So Tory MP's are left with a choice. Put forward the best candidate to run the country or the best candidate to win an election.

Johnson may put four points on the Conservative tally in the short term but he's likely to lose more than that in the long term. The only way Johnson would work for them is a risky election, trying to take advanatge of new leader bounce before he actually has to get to work. | |
