No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

A number of decent cricketers have made the football ranks, but...

Joe Hart, played Minor Counties but even playing for Shrewsbury Seconds could not keep for toffee,

Peter Trego of Somerset, approaching the twilight of his career but he also played in the Conference and the first round of the FA Cup as a Goalkeeper, he cannot keep neither!!!!!

Funnily enougth, Chris Balderstone once scored 80 odd at Derby on day 1 of a County Championship Match, asked the umpires not to enforce missed overs in the day, went to Doncaster Rovers whom he was playing for at the time, scored .... next morning he completed his century.

I believe he was the last person to play County Champioship cricket and top laegue football.... although Steve Palmer played cricket for Cambridge Uni against County teams, with Mike Atherton

In the days before the seasons (and training time) overlapped so much, it used to be common for footballers to play decent level cricket in the summer and vice-versa.

Famously, Ian Botham played in League games for Scunthorpe during his cricket career.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
