He needs money to build a side, Chelsea under a current transfer embargo makes that impossible unless the ruling is overturned. He’s not got a great track record promoting youth.

I don't think the Chelsea fans will want him back. Not sure a large percentage want Lampard but that seems to be purely because he's legend in their eyes when he left as a player and if he comes back as Manager and it all goes wrong it will tarnish is legend status.

Lampard wont go to Chelsea at this stage if he has any sense. He needs more than a season before taking a big job where the players will down tools if they do not like you. He needs to have achieved as a manager to get respect in the changing room.

Not sure who would want to go to Chelsea if they are unable to sign new players and having sold Hazard. Plus Ambramovich uncertainty. Much better options for the better managers.

Chelsea to finish outside top 4 next season.

Wouldnt be surprised. Chelsea are insurgents again rather than top dogs which is always best for Mourinho. Although I think he will go to Napoli.

Sometimes a manager is just a good fit. He has massive experience in football at the very top and may just be able to motivate a squad full of talent. It’s not black and white.
