Do Paderborn have particularly violent fans, then? Otherwise, for a pre-season friendly with probably not a huge Ipswich following, why is it an issue? Just let the fans mingle and socialise. They probably will be in the bars anyway.

This has been an issue before. There was a game at FC Twente, if I remember correctly, which was called off a few years back due to similar security concerns.

Also says Paderborn want the game to go ahead, but that finding another venue is problematic as many pitches at other stadiums are being reseeded/relayed. They want to keep the game in the region.

Not sure why fan segregation is such an issue for a friendly. German FA and police being swayed by English fans' reputation..?

I was thinking that we'd happily play it at the Paul Janes Stadium in Dusseldorf!
