Chaps - I'm doing a 46 mile yomp around the Cambridge countryside this weekend, against the clock, between four WW2 bomber bases (the home to the “Pathfinder” Squadrons, elite bombers in the first wave of each raid, who’d light up the target, for the thousand bomber formations to pile in behind). This is all with a view to training up for doing a 5 day ultra event next summer.

I’ve opted to ask for a modest amount of sponsorship for a great little charity — Scotty’s Little Soldiers. Their whole thing is to support the children and families of bereaved service personnel in loads of different ways. I’m sure you’ll agree that that’s a pretty good cause to get behind.

If any of you megabucks, high-rollers could spare some change, I'd be grateful, as would the charity, I've no doubt!

Thanks to the guys who donated and supported this.

Still plenty of time to chip in and help bump the fundraiser along, even if it's only by a quid!

If it helps, I've torn two ligaments in my foot and it's now turning a tasty shade of purple - hoping it's more of a 6 weeker than a Tom Adeyemi "minor setback"...
