Please note: prior to hitting the post button, I've double checked for anything that could be construed as "Anti Semitic" and to the best of my knowledge it isn't. Anything deemed to be of a Xenophobic nature is therefore purely accidental or down to your own misconstruing.

Well, there’s no political decisions that need attention right now so I suspect they’re getting desperate for things to do.

EDM's are a way to get some local intiatives acknowledged.
However EDM #2489 raises the possibilty of a free case of whisky come Christmas time for all those who support it. I'm sure all gifts will be declared.

"That this House commends the campaign led by the Glen Scotia Distillery in Campbeltown, Argyll and Bute, to promote their home town as being the whiskiest place in the world; acknowledges that Campbeltown, which once boasted no fewer than 30 legal distilleries in the 1800s and was known in the Victorian era as Capital of Scotch, has played a hugely significant part in the history and development of whisky distilling in Scotland; congratulates Glen Scotia manager Iain McAllister on helping to raise awareness of the importance of Campbeltown to Scotland’s whisky heritage; commends the work being done by Glen Scotia, along with Springbank and the Glengyle/Kilkerran Distilleries, to promote Campbeltown as Scotland’s fifth official malt producing region; recognises that they have raised awareness of the thriving, local whisky industry in the town both at home and internationally; and wishes them all every success in the future as they contribute to one of Scotland’s greatest assets."

Don't believe a word I say. I'm only kidding. Or am I?
