Forgive me if I am revisiting old ground, but surely it is the King of Cheese?

You've spelt Colsten Basset Stilton wrong.

The king of all blue cheeses.

Roquefort is indeed the King of Cheese.

TOP TIP: If you're ever entertaining cheese fans at short notice and have run out of Roquefort, get a thin slice of Stilton, lay it in the sun for a while. Then, splash a bit of the water you sometimes get floating on the top of a greek yogurt over the cheese.

Serve with a glass of Sauternes and you might just get away with it.

An infrequent poster, Mr Piercingblue, but I rather like the cut of your jib.

Surely cabrales is superior.?

Depends on your preference.

Suffolk Blue beats the ass out of Roquefort, if you like something harder and stronger then Little Lincoln Imp is ver good. If you want something a bit milder then Suffolk gold is the correct choice.

Nothing to forgive PiercingBlue.
Starting a thread on cheese is always applauded on here.

In the middle ages you'd be burnt at the stake for thinking that. Sadly someone invented tolerant lefties and nowadays the worst you can expect is to be blackballed from right thinking institutions.

Not sure about that but it has got me thinking that it is ages since I had any Yarg.

My cheese taste buds vary wildly at different times, at the moment a hard aged Gouda is as nutty and flavoursome as a cheese can be.

Baron isn't it? Stilton is the rightful king

You’re wrong. St Agur is the king of all cheeses.

I had some Yarg from the cheese shop in Cambridge, very nice too. Also bought some Cambridgeshire Blue which was excellent and a bit like a creamier but tangy Stilton. It could become dangerously addictive.

Blue cheese is like white wine. A sign you need watching carefully. Wrong'un fuel.

He'd do well to agree. I'm picking his care home.
